Rice water has been used for centuries in Asian beauty routines due to its ability to brighten and nourish the skin. Packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, it helps improve skin texture, reduce blemishes, and enhance elasticity. Combined with the soothing properties of rose water, this DIY rice water rose cream is a simple and effective solution for achieving clear, glowing skin. Here’s how to make it at home.


Ingredients


-1/2 cup of rice water: Rich in amino acids and antioxidants, rice water helps brighten the skin and minimize pores.

- 1/4 cup of rose water: Rose water balances the skin’s pH, reduces redness, and adds a calming fragrance.

- 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel: Known for its soothing properties, aloe vera moisturizes and heals the skin.

- 1 tablespoon of shea butter or coconut oil: Provides hydration and locks in moisture.

- A few drops of rose essential oil (optional): For added fragrance and skin-soothing benefits.


Instructions


1. Prepare the rice water: Rinse 1/2 cup of rice thoroughly, then soak it in water for about 30 minutes. Strain the rice, reserving the water. 

2. Melt the shea butter: If using shea butter, melt it in a double boiler until smooth.

3. Mix the ingredients: In a bowl, combine the rice water, rose water, melted shea butter or coconut oil, and aloe vera gel. Stir until smooth and creamy.

4. Add essential oil: If using rose essential oil, add a few drops to enhance the cream's fragrance and benefits.

5. Store: Pour the mixture into a small, airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
